ABOUT HALAL EXPO SARAJEVO 2025

As a gateway to Adria region growing halal market, Halal Expo Sarajevo is a major international event taking place in the Bosnian capital, Sarajevo, from June 17 to 19, 2025.

From Food & Beverage to Cosmetics, Healthcare and Tourism, halal industry will gather under one roof offering a great opportunity for companies and investors from the East and the West to showcase their halal products and services while creating valuable networking opportunities with potential partners and clients.

This exhibition is part of the major event “Halal Days in Bosnia”, which includes various cultural, artistic and economic activities aimed at promoting the halal culture among the Muslims of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who represent the majority of the population of this, geographically and historically, uniquely positioned country.

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Mr. Mohammed Sherbi, CEO of Rekaz, has had a distinguished career in the public and private sectors. He began his career within the official Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Riyasat), where he ultimately became the head of the Islamic World Department.

His expertise then extended into the international diplomacy, serving as the Middle East Advisor for a commission established by the Group of Seven (G7) Summit.

Mr. Sherbi was responsible for building strong relations with the Islamic world, including state representatives and ambassadors, as well as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

Mr. Sherbi represented Bosnia and Herzegovina as the Permanent Representative to ISESCO, based in Morocco and affiliated with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

As an ISESCO representative of Bosnia, Mr. Sherbi participated at several international conferences and events.

He was also a member of the Executive Council of ISESCO, which includes representatives of 51 member states.

This interaction with his colleagues from those countries has given Mr. Sherbi a wide network of relations that includes all the countries of the Islamic world and extends from the Middle East to Africa and Asia.

Building on these achievements, Mr. Sherbi transitioned to the private sector, leveraging his vast experience and network to contribute to the growth of Bosnia’s economy. His focus has been on stimulating tourism, promoting investments, supporting innovation and helping young entrepreneurs. In 2019, he founded Rekaz Sarajevo LLC, a company specializing in marketing.

Rekaz LLC has successfully facilitated numerous business ventures and projects:

Publishing “Dalilak”, the only tourism and investment guide in Arabic for Bosnia and Herzegovina. This guide, distributed free for tourists visiting Bosnia during summer, provides valuable information to tourists and potential investor.

Organizing Real Expo Sarajevo, an international exhibition focused on construction, real estate investment, and sustainable
development sectors included smart and green buildings, alternative energy, and e-mobility
