The roundtable discussion titled ‘Perspectives of Halal Economy in Herzegovina’ was successfully held in Mostar, bringing together key representatives from the business sector, religious institutions, and academia. The event confirmed that the Herzegovina region holds immense potential for the growth of the halal market, particularly in food production, highend tourism, and specialized services.
Panelists highlighted that the Halal certificate is far more than a religious requirement; it is a global gold standard for quality and safety. This certification serves as a strategic gateway for local businesses to enter international markets worth trillions of dollars. Strengthening the collaboration between local producers and the Agency for Halal Quality Certification was identified as a priority for branding the region as a competitive halal hub. Halal Expo remains dedicated to supporting such initiatives that connect local entrepreneurs with global standards, further enhancing Bosnia and Herzegovina's position on the world halal map.
